Dr. Messner provides patient care in the Primary Eye Care Service. Her special interest is infectious eye disease. She received her optometry training from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and The Eye Institute, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She currently serves as the Director of Residencies and as Chair, Post-Graduate and IEI-Based Clinical Education at the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Messner is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association.
