Dr. Boulais received her optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2003 and completed a residency in Hospital-Based Optometry/Ocular Disease at the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2004 through the Ohio State College of Optometry. She joined the faculty of the Illinois College of Optometry in 2006. Before starting at the college, Dr. Boulais had administrative and clinical responsibilities in hospital based eyecare at the Painesville and Ravenna, OH Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinics.
Dr. Boulais is currently an attending optometrist and in the Advocate Eye Care Service of the Illinois Eye Institute, as well as part-time attending faculty in the Primary Care Service at the Eye Institute. She is currently a candidate for fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry.
