Dr. Baas received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then earned his doctorate of optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. Following graduation Dr. Baas completed a primary care and ocular disease residency at the Illinois Eye Institute. Upon completion of his residency he began working at a private practice while continuing to serve as a clinical faculty member at the Illinois Eye Institute. Dr. Baas is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the Illinois Optometric Association, and the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness. an Academy of Optometry, National Glaucoma Society, and the American Public Health Association.
